Sailwork 14-day trial: terms

1. What you get

For 14 days, a Sailwork companion of your own at an address such as name.sailwork.dev. It runs in its own separate space (a container) on a server. None of it is shared with other people trying Sailwork. The trial is free and you don’t have to buy anything.

2. Where it runs, said plainly

The trial server belongs to a friend of ours. It is in Romania, in a private home, not in a datacenter. It has no spare power, no guaranteed uptime and no second copy elsewhere. Web traffic goes through Cloudflare, which ends the encryption on its side. So use sample data or information that isn’t sensitive. Don’t put in other people’s personal data, health or financial records, passwords for important accounts, or anything you couldn’t afford to lose or have seen.

3. The AI

During the trial we provide the AI (Anthropic’s Claude) and we pay for it. What you write to the companion goes to Anthropic to be answered, and Anthropic handles it under its own terms. Usage has a fair limit. If it runs out before the 14 days, the companion pauses; write to us and we’ll sort it out.

4. Your data is yours

Your files, conversations and records stay yours. We don’t sell them, use them for anything else or train AI on them.

5. We can reach everything

We look after the server, so technically we can read everything in your trial, and so can the friend who owns the machine. We commit to this: we look only if you ask for help, or to fix an outage or a security problem, and we tell you the same day; we run none of our own AI agents on your data; we give access to nobody else.

6. What you don’t do

Don’t give your access to anyone outside your business. Don’t use the trial for anything unlawful. Don’t try to attack the server or other trials. Don’t copy or redistribute Sailwork’s software, and don’t use it to build a competing product.

7. The end of the trial

Three days before the end we write to you. You can buy, ask for more time, or let it end. On the last day we make an export of your files and e-mail you a download link, valid for 30 days. Then we remove the trial. We keep a full backup for 30 days in case you buy, and then we delete it. You can end the trial earlier at any time by e-mail.

8. If you buy

Your Sailwork moves to a proper datacenter server in the EU, run for your business under a signed licence and service agreement. What you made during the trial comes with it.

9. No guarantee

The trial is offered as it is. There may be interruptions and we’re not liable for lost profit. This doesn’t limit liability that can’t lawfully be limited. Romanian law applies.
